Reach Out Cameroon, a Non Governmental Organization in partnership with GIZ, last May 23 ,2023 had an end of project evaluation meeting at the Tiko Council Banquet hall with some Tiko council staff, Market management committees, amongst others to access the impact of their projects and to compare the baseline survey to see how beneficial the projects has been to the entire Tiko Municipality.
Reach Out cameroon in partnership with GIZ have been working with the Tiko Council for 18 months, from December 2021 – May 2023 whereby Four Council staff and some Community Technicians were trained on how to diagnose and repair Manual pumps/bore holes in the Municipality.
During the project evaluation meeting, a presentation of the whole project was done by members of Reach Out as some difficulties raised by the trainers and trainees were explained with some proposed solutions given.
The meeting that also witnessed the presence of the Divisional Delegate for Decentralization and local Development, MINDDEVEL Fako ,Mr Naseri Julius, saw him gave his general overview of the project as satisfactory and urged the population of Tiko Municipality to take part in participatory Development from the Government through the council to bring Development in their area.He went further to called on the population to be enthusiastic, optimistic and participate in every Development that the Government brings to them.
It should be noted that, Reach Out a NGO that is based in Buea, has as its objective to contribute to strengthening the involvement and effective participation of men, woman and youth in Tiko, Limbe 3 and Idenau in local Governance and Management of local infrastructure using Participatory mechanism.
