The Lord Mayor of the Tiko Council, HRM Chief Peter Ikome Mesoso III and the founder/ President of the Light Up Fako Project, Dr Smith Becke Molua on Saturday August 19th 2023, were received at the Mongo Bridge following their return from the United States of America

.The Lord Mayor who had been out of the country for three weeks in search of partners to fund developmental projects on behalf of the municipality of Tiko was received by a mammoth crowd consisting of council staff, traditional and religious authorities, councillors and Municipal Youth Councillors of the Tiko Council and a cross section of the population.

It should be noted that, the mayor’s trip to the USA bore many fruits which the population of Tiko will be enjoying in the days ahead amongst which is the Light Up Fako Project which will be launched in Tiko on Saturday August 26th, 2023.
Worth noting, the Light Up Fako Project, an initiative of Dr Smith Becke Molua has as slogan ” One Man, One Lamp” and was first launched in Buea, regional capital of the Southwest Region on December 4th 2021 and aims at reducing insecurityin Tiko in particular and Fako Division in general.
