Since ever the Tiko Council headed by Mayor Mesoso III launched the 2023 clean city campiagn on July 5,2023, the gateway city has been on the limelight.

Tbe exercise that was officially launched by Mayor Mesoso III in Tiko and mutengene later moved to the other zones of the municipality such as Mongo and likomba zones whereby the gateway city has received a new facelift.

From the Mongo bridge through the Ombe River up the Plantecam hill, when visiting Tiko u will think another Jesus Christ will be there the next day. Tiko Council so far after employing some Youths and Women who are incharged with the cleaning of the municipality has also beautified the gateway city.

The Trees which are part of nature all painted, Schools renovated and painted, the bridges in the Municipality all beautified such as the various Roundabouts. Moreover all Gutters and Public Toilets in the various Motor parks and Markets that were abandoned for years are now functional.

It should be noted that Tiko Council under the leadership of HRH Mayor Peter Ikome Mesoso III has been preaching cleanliness as for the past years especially during the summer holidays Youths and Women are employed to cleaned the various neighborhoods of the Municipality to give it a facelift as he himself (Mayor HRH Peter Ikome Mesoso III) is always on ground to see how things are unfold.
