The extension of the Mutengene water project has been the main problem of the Tiko Municipality for the past two decades. The population which has skyrocketed over the years face acute water shortage with supply which was meant to serve 6000 persons now available for over 50,000 persons, making water the most pressing need of the population.
The decision by the mayor and his team to extend the water supply is seen as huge relief by the population.
